I’m no longer lazy!!

I’m still working on the certificates, but I’m no longer using a hack-job to host the webpage, I’m using my NAS proper and some defaults to properly display things. Port 80 is now port 80, and I’ve locked down some other ports.

The two big things now is that I’m hosting a mirror of Win10LTSB, and the website now supports HTTPS as opposed to JUST Http.

Level Select Menu Streamlined.
- Nothing user-facing. The Level Select is now it’s own scene.
- This makes it easier to add new levels in the future.
- I will ask Delirium and Frostpoint to design new levels soon.
Pause Menu added!
- Tap ESC to access the menu!
- You can use your mouse to reset the scores, return to menu, or quit!
- Returning to Menu does not reset the scores, so you can add/remove players, or change the level without losing your progress.
- ESC Menu only accessable while in-game.

I hope that this is a good place to leave it. I’ve sliiiiiiigly entertained the idea of adding audio, but I’m afraid that this would break the spirit of what I’m trying to do, substiantally more than adding Cyan.

- Updated main menu to correctly differentiate Gamepad 2 or Gamepad 3.

Remember, you need to know what gamepad is which. Gamepad numbers are generally assigned in order.

Tanks.exe V1.0 out now!

Holy shit, I know I’m “vacationing” but I’m pretty excited to of completed this.

I’ve gone way out of scope with this “remake.” But, I mean, Resident Evil 2’s remake was a borderline genre shift, and the remake is pretty solid.

New main menu
- Range Selector works!
- Bouncy Bullets implemented!
  - Bouncy bullets are a little weird, but they’re as wild and unpredictable as the original.
  - Self-attack due to carelessness reduces 1 point of score.
- 3 levels still, but room for more!
- Ability to selected 2-4 players.
  - Each Tank can be enabled/disabled.
  - Each Tank can have their own control scheme.
  - No two tanks can have the same controls.
  - New Tank! Cyan!
  - Gamepad required for four player play.
New HUD.
- HUD Changes based on controls and score.
- HUD now shows who’s who.
Gamepad Support.
- Support for Gamepad connected to port 1, 2, or 3.
- A button, or X on a dualshock is the attack. D-pad is to drive.
- New graphics by juliocacko for keyboard buttons and gamepad buttons
Cyan joins the battle~
- New Tank, player four is Cyan.
- New Tank death animation.
New broken wall textures, similar to the original.

So, this is a doozy. I’m not really sure if I wanted to even include this page. Because, well… Ugh. Let me explain.

I wanted to build a discord server at one point. But, in Feburary of ‘26, Discord announced a “Teen by Default” rollout that forces all users to have the same experience under the false rhetoric to “protect the children.”

Forcing everyone in the same bin obviously doesn’t protect anyone. Furthermore, teens lie, and that can be a very big problem for adults who think they found someone special in their life who are into them sexually. It’s never comfortable to receive a “By the way, I was lying about my age.” post when you scroll up to also have that same person begging for “home-made” adult content.

Why post it here?

I figured that since I’m having a lot of fun messing with this little website project, and I’ve effectively turned my website into some sort of blog, I’ll inspire myself by uploading my school assignments here as posts. Perhaps, in the future, I can look back and see how awful my takes are, and have a stronger sense of understanding.

Or maybe I’m the next cybersecurity geniu- okay. Nope. That joke’s too foolish.

A New Website

First of all, where the fuck is everything?

Great question. I met someone really interesting and helpful a while back, and they showed me their neat little website. They mentioned that they built it with Hugo, and I made a lot of wild assumptions about it, thinking that it was a new technology similar to php or apache. This put me down a hell of a rabbit hole.

So, now that I’ve gotten my head out of my ass, I guess I have a blog. What do I include here? Terrible hot takes? Godot projects? Depression? VR? Tabletop games? My new job once I get it?

‘Verse5 is a tabletop system largely based on Sectors Without Number by Kevin Crawford.

‘Verse5 is the fifth iteration of a setting I’ve been working on throughout my life, formatted for other people to enjoy. It carries a pretty extreme and long history, populated by characters and major events throughout the setting. It’s a setting that’s grown with me, and changed as my life changed. What begins as a setting in my head for mental short stories, a tool to pass the time and help me sleep, exploded into something much greater.

Been a while, but this is something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time.

I’ve always felt that Windows 10 was the downfall of something good. I’ve always been a Windows fanboy, and I feel as I can navigate and resolve it’s issues just as any long term Linux user can rummage through their preferred Distro.

So, as a genuine massive hardcore Microsoft fanboy, I’m looking at the changes in later versions of Windows 10 and I’m beyond appalled. Windows 11 isn’t an Operating System anymore, it’s a surveillance tool built to advertise to you instead of letting you enjoy your hardware. Windows has become everything I abhor. That’s why I’m mirroring MAS, and Windows 10 LTSB.
