Uhh, hi.
Some time ago, I posted that I wouldn’t try and host a server for fostering a community. The main reason being that other platforms such as Stoat and Fluxer are also based in the UK. The UK, is also very heavily pushing for more and more age regulation and ID verification laws. Not only are these laws pushed by major social media platforms that demand more and more of your personal information, they also don’t protect kids. They’re an absolute security nightmare for anyone looking to actually keep their lives private to any degree.
When I said that Fluxer was pushing ID verification because they’re based in the UK, that wasn’t the most accurate statement. Fluxer is not based in the UK.
A Brazilian friend of mine also used Fluxer, and instead of looking into why the platform has begun prohibiting him, he just assumed. He then pushed that assumption onto others. I trusted, and I believed him.
Fluxer has prohibited access to features in certain countries and a US State because those locations have laws that prevent users from verifying their own age on their own based on trust. More information below:

I guess… This is a roundabout way of saying… Fluxer has become my community of choice. I still use Discord, as my friends are there, but I’ll attempt to back away from administrating Discord and VRC communities, and focus all of my efforts on Fluxer, and on really… myself.
I’ve considered picking up Resonite too. Though, I’m heavily torn on that platform. There’s a lot of reasons to be incredibly cautious, but even VRC’s enshittification is getting to me.
